Ford has disclosed the official pricing details of the Fiesta Active, a rugged version of the 7th-generation supermini.

Available in three grades, dubbed Active 1, Active B&O and Active X, it joins the Ka+ Active locally and has a starting price of £17,790 ($24,799).

All versions of the car include the plastic cladding all around, increased ride height, tweaked suspension, ‘Active’ badging and other styling cues, 17-inch alloy wheels and front fog lamps.

The extra kit makes it £4,100 ($5,715) more expensive than the entry-level Fiesta.

Drivers can choose from three different modes: Eco, Normal and Slippery, while its grip is enhanced furthermore by the adoption of ESP with Hill Start Assist. Ford says that on-road safety is boosted with the addition of dusk-sensing headlamps and a tire pressure monitoring system.

The Fiesta Active B&O stands out with the black roof with black roof rails, heated and electrically operated side mirrors, premium audio system, yellow color theme, illuminated cup holders, front armrest, 4.2-inch TFT instrument cluster with traffic sign recognition and others. This version of the B-segment hatchback can be had from £19,190 ($26,751).

Adding more equipment leads you to the Fiesta Active X, which has a starting price of £20,290 ($28,284). It’s fitted with heated front seats, an 8-inch touchscreen with DAB radio, reversing camera with rear parking sensors, door mirrors with puddle lights and different color schemes.

Powering the Ford Fiesta Active is the 1.0-liter EcoBoost petrol engine. It’s offered in four different outputs – 85PS (84hp), 100PS (99hp), 125PS (123hp) and 140PS (138hp), all versions working together with a new six-speed manual gearbox.
