McLaren 570S Spider buyers can now spec their cars with a new Track Pack that adds both visual as well as practical updates, all suited for circuit use. The only catch is that the new options pack can only be specified on new vehicle orders.

As long as that’s not an issue, get ready to have a lighter 570S Spider by over 33 kg (15 kg), a louder exhaust note and a more dynamic appearance, both outside and in.

“The 570S Spider has already gained a reputation as an extremely accomplished luxury sportscar that is hugely enjoyable to drive on a circuit,” stated McLaren sales and marketing exec, Jolyon Nash. “This new Track Pack brings together in one package design features, specification and popular practical options desirable for track use, further increasing choice for Spider buyers and at the same time offering them even better value.”

Here’s what you get for £17,160

Exterior features include the Dark Palladium Roof, a higher rear spoiler and lightweight 10-spoke alloys with the Stealth Finish (15 kg / 33 lbs lighter than the standard wheel), and a Sports Exhaust with Stealth Exhaust Finisher. McLaren can also add more carbon fiber pieces should the customer require further weight reduction.

Inside, the Track Pack-equipped 570S Spider comes with one of six lightweight Sport Design themes in Alcantara – the buyer can choose which one. Then there are the Carbon Fiber Race Seats allowing for 13 kg (28.6 lbs) savings over the standard Sports Seats, a Carbon Black Alcantara steering wheel and a factory-fitted McLaren Track Telemetry (MTT) system for recording lap times, sector splits, post-drive analysis, that sort of thing.

More carbon fiber can be found on the door inserts, tunnel sides, extended gearshift paddles, steering wheel spokes, door and lower center console switch packs and even on the infotainment surround.

McLaren will charge 570S Spider customers a premium of £17,160 ($24,096) for the Track Pack.
