Edd China Returns With A New Show Called ‘Garage Revival’

After splitting ways with Wheeler Dealers, everyone’s favorite mechanic Edd China makes a return with a new show called ‘Garage Revival’.

The concept behind Edd’s new show is pretty straightforward: the tall mechanic will work directly with car owners whose projects have stuck and help them get their plans back on track.

For the pilot episode of ‘Garage Revival’, Edd will travel all the way up to Norway to help put a VW Golf GTI Mk1 back on the road. The episode will contain a lot of wrenching as you would expect, with Edd showing us what it takes to bring the father of hot hatches back to its former glory.

It has been over a year since Edd China left Wheeler Dealers after 14 years of service, with his old show replacing him with Ant Anstead. This move made a lot of fans of the show angry at the time, leading to some people even harassing Mike Brewer over the matter.

Edd China’s Garage Revival is set to air on May 1 on YouTube but there’s no information yet if the show will remain on the platform or is gunning to be picked up by a TV network.

    Thank you, sir”

  • Emoto

I hope it gets picked up. I like the guy and how he explains mechanical tasks.

    • Bo Hanan

I agree even if, on occasion, he reminds me of an old British woman.

      • Emoto

        LOL.

  • Julien Lachemoi

I sure could use his help on my 98 Impreza GT, what a blast that would be !

  • eb110americana

Looks entertaining. I wonder how many projects like that they can actually complete in a season though. Hopefully they can do it without just glossing over the details to build fast-paced action (which I would imagine would eventually cause Edd to burn out on the concept).

  • David Giles

    Excellent!

  • Jeff Scott

Glad he landed on his feet. I’ll definitely chk out the show. Always like his segments of the show.

  • izzey04

    He’s pretty handy guy

  • LWOAP

Where can I get that “Where’s Edd” shirt?

  • I love the premise so far, I can imagine it’s better than Car SOS (Nat Geo show with similar promise, but with less detailed wrenching than Edd usually do).

Wheeler Dealers with Ant Anstead meanwhile *yawn*.
