Want a Koenigsegg Agera? Too bad, they’ve all been sold. And once those last two Final Edition examples have been made, the model line will be retired permanently. So your only chance is to buy one on the second-hand market. And that’s a rare prospect.

Fortunately, one such example has popped up for sale. And not in some far-flung location, either. This one’s listed by a dealership in Southern California.

It’s a 2014 Agera R – one of the last ones made, as far as we can tell. Like any other Agera, the R model was powered by a 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8, mated to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission.

Only in this second iteration of the species, it produces 1,124 horsepower (1,140 ps/838 kW) and 890 lb-ft (1,200 Nm) of torque. That made it considerably more potent than the initial Agera or the flex-fuel Agera S that followed. It’s still not quite as potent as the RS or One:1. But no matter which way you look at it, a thousand-plus horsepower is still a lot.

Though we can’t find specific record of this particular example, it’s said to have 3,100 miles (4,989 kilometers) on the clock. And although it appears to bear a similar black and gold livery as the Gryphon edition, it’s actually described as being tinted in a dark shade of blue. A very dark shade, as you can see for yourself from the pictures.

It’s listed for sale by iLusso. One of America’s preeminent hypercar dealers, iLusso is based out of Costa Mesa in Orange County, just south of Los Angeles. The broker isn’t saying how much it wants for the rare exotic. But you can bet the sticker price has two commas in it.
