2018 Roush JackHammer Sees Ford Mustang Upgraded To 710 HP

The Mustang experts from Roush Performance have just unveiled their 2018 JackHammer, complete with enough grunt to probably give the impending GT500 a scare.

Using the Mustang GT as a base, Roush has outfitted the JackHammer with an R2650 supercharger that lifts output to an impressive 710 hp and 610 lb-ft of torque.

Don’t think this Mustang is focused purely on straight-line performance, however. Roush has outfitted the JackHammer with adjustable coilovers, Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires, gloss black wheels and custom badging. The tuned pony car also features a black stripe on the sides and can be optioned with a stripe that runs over the vehicle’s hood and roof, leather seating and black quad tailpipes. Moreover, customers can choose between 11 exterior colors.

Pricing for the 2018 JackHammer package starts at $14,765 and all modifications come with a 5-year, 60,000 mile limited powertrain warranty. Roush says it can fit the package to any Mustang GT in a matter of hours.

Details concerning the GT500’s engine remain unclear, but we do know it will come fitted with a 5.2-liter supercharged V8 engine dubbed ‘Predator’. One thing we can be sure of is that it will have in excess of 700 hp and cost significantly more than Roush’s latest creation.

Really disappointing Roush didn’t do more to fix the ’18 ugly mug. The 15-17 got an entirely new front fascia, this is just an upper and lower grill plus the duct inserts…

While I like the 18 front end, it is a shame they didn’t change anything. If you’re going to pay the money for one of these I’m sure you’re going to want something to make it stand out from a regular GT.

I agree. I think the 18 front end is a mix of ugly and cool, but I wish Roush had use this opportunity to improve on it and give us something new.

  • Wait, wait. Didn’t we had the exact same news few weeks ago?

Why does the car look like it’s crying?

      Lack of competition.

Well instead of staring at the taillights of Camaros it should try racing the Challenger.
