Bugatti Has Started To Show A New Chiron Variant To Customers

Fresh off the premiere of the Bugatti Chiron Sport at the Geneva Motor Show, the French automaker has started to show off a new Chiron variant to select customers.

YouTuber Whitesse JR, the son of a well-known hypercar collector, recently had the opportunity to check out this special edition Chiron at an exclusive event in the U.S and has given a few intriguing comments about it.

Unsurprisingly, those in attendance at the event were made to sign non-disclosure agreements to keep details about the model under wraps. However, the YouTuber did say that the vehicle is “controversial” and claims that it “looks nothing like a Chiron.” He goes on to state that the car retains the Chiron’s standard 8.0-liter quad-turbo W16 engine with 1,479 HP and says that production will be “pretty limited.”

Based on these statements, it seems apparent that the French hypercar will be adorned with all-new bodywork that makes it distinct from any Bugatti before it. The company has previously said that it has no plans to release a Grand Sport derivative of the Chiron so that rules out one possibility.

Eighteen months ago, a separate car collector in the U.S. claimed that Bugatti intended on putting the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo into production. Could the new Chiron model in question be this vehicle? Who knows?

Whatever the case may be, it is apparent that the Chiron’s story is far from over and exciting times lie ahead for the carmaker.

  • What an hyperbole, all of ugly special editions will sell, why this one will be different?

  • João Ricardo

I wouldn’t trust the comments from a YouTuber.

    • Erzhik

I wouldn’t either, but the kid’s father is an avid Bugatti guy (Veyron and Chiron owner as well as Koeniggseggssesgsgg. That dude also has the most expensive Koeniggsgegg key covered in diamonds or smth.

      • Belthronding

you have some really useless & random letters in Koenigsegg

        • João Ricardo

Have you never seen Top Gear?

          • Belthronding

            Not really

          • João Ricardo

Alright, that was a reference to how Clarkson used to say Koenigsegg.

          • Belthronding

Got it. Damn, i have never liked this guy and his gang. Thanks for enlightening me.

      • That don’t buy taste either, sorry to say I kinda dislike those young supercar kids in general.

        • LWOAP

Car Vloggers for me. If I’ve seen one, I’ve seen them all. The only thing I do like is when they are at certain events, cars and coffee meets, car shows, or just car spotting in places like Dubai or Monaco. Although it could be worse. You could end up like GasKings.

          • I don’t know why most people watch these car vloggers, I literally want to punch many of them.

That said I do love car vloggers like Harry Metcalfe, I mean honestly I do want to be car vloggers like him.

          • LWOAP

My guess is some people like to live vicariously though these vloggers. I mean, these guys are young, drive supercars and travel to exotic places.

          • Sometimes you can see that they had zero interests on the cars and more of sensationalized approach to it, Shmee try to become serious automotive outlet but it makes me piss even more. Like he knows he don’t understand it, but I’m just gonna stand here because people at Youtube like it.

          • LWOAP

Don’t forget Twitter and Instagram. Everyone wants to be an E-Celeb these day with the fancy cars. And I guess all that exposure equals money which would explain how Shmee is able to afford his collection.

  • Erzhik

Me thinks it’s track focused Chiron, too many manufacturers are giving people track versions lately.

  • KenjiK

If it is (or look like) the GranTurismo Vision Concept, then that youtuber comment would make no sense.

  • DOESN’T MAKE A LOT OF SENSE GIVEN THAT THE CHIRON IS RELATIVELY NEW TO COME UP WITH SOMETHING THAT LOOKS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT.

  • Nordschleife

I was hoping for the Galiber since he said nothing like the Chiron. But you guys are right.
