Fresh off the premiere of the Bugatti Chiron Sport at the Geneva Motor Show, the French automaker has started to show off a new Chiron variant to select customers.

YouTuber Whitesse JR, the son of a well-known hypercar collector, recently had the opportunity to check out this special edition Chiron at an exclusive event in the U.S and has given a few intriguing comments about it.

Unsurprisingly, those in attendance at the event were made to sign non-disclosure agreements to keep details about the model under wraps. However, the YouTuber did say that the vehicle is “controversial” and claims that it “looks nothing like a Chiron.” He goes on to state that the car retains the Chiron’s standard 8.0-liter quad-turbo W16 engine with 1,479 HP and says that production will be “pretty limited.”

Based on these statements, it seems apparent that the French hypercar will be adorned with all-new bodywork that makes it distinct from any Bugatti before it. The company has previously said that it has no plans to release a Grand Sport derivative of the Chiron so that rules out one possibility.

Eighteen months ago, a separate car collector in the U.S. claimed that Bugatti intended on putting the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo into production. Could the new Chiron model in question be this vehicle? Who knows?

Whatever the case may be, it is apparent that the Chiron’s story is far from over and exciting times lie ahead for the carmaker.
