Lewis Hamilton Is Selling His Mercedes-Maybach S600 For £104,990

If you feel like your garage/bank account can accomodate a large luxury saloon such as the S-Class, why not go all out for the Maybach version? Specifically, one previously owned by Formula 1 World Champion, Lewis Hamilton.

Hamilton’s 2015 RHD Mercedes-Maybach S600 has been listed on Autotrader, priced at £104,990 ($142,726), boasting a large number of ultra-impressive specs, such as its 22-inch alloys, rear seat entertainment or the 360 Surround View Camera.

“This is a seriously luxurious car,” said Auto Trader editorial director, Erin Baker. “The standard S-Class is one of the swankiest cars that Mercedes makes, and this Maybach edition is even more high-end, featuring ultimate comfort mixed with cutting-edge technology.”

“As a Mercedes F1 driver and a four-time world champion, it’s no surprise that Lewis wanted the best of the best. Mercedes must have offered him something pretty special to replace this one. Maybe it’s the new Mercedes-AMG Project One hypercar.”

While it’s likely Hamilton will indeed get his hands on the Project One, we reckon the British F1 driver could have also replaced this 2015 Mercedes-Maybach model with the updated one that came out in Geneva.

In the end, whoever ends up buying Hamilton’s luxury saloon, will get it with 27,500 miles (44,256 km) on the clock. They will also enjoy amenities such as the variable glass panoramic roof, Night Vision, Burmester audio system, Exclusive Package, Rear seat comfort package, head-up display, Alcantara headlining and so much more.

Well, I respect Mr. Hamilton a lot. But, the fact that he is a racer, it’s very highly probably that this car has been driven very very hard and spent most of its time in high speed. Excessive wear and tear of mechanical components could happen in much faster rate. So I’d rather buy a brand new “standard” S500 with that sum of money.

But maybe, having owned by one of the best F1 racers (that for sure could make him into legendary status), this car bears some historical value. So, it could help it to find enthusiastic buyers.

I think there are two kinds of racing drivers. Those who also speed on the road and those who don’t want to because they can do it regularly on the track.

Nooo, that’s just silly. He has plenty of sports cars to choose from and this certainly wasn’t his only car. So I really doubt he was driving it really hard. Besides, most of F1 drivers need much more agile car to enjoy some kind of fast driving. This is a heavy limousine. Does not make any sense to drive it like you stole it.
