Exotic carmakers have started ditching stick shifts from their offerings a few years ago. As a result, the value of high-performance models equipped with three pedals on the used car market has recently hit the roof.

We’ve already seen certain Ferraris being listed for insane amounts, but the R8 listed here is much more affordable. Made in 2008 and powered by a naturally aspirated, 414 HP (420 PS) 4.2-liter V8 mated to a six-speed manual gearbox, it costs $73,995.

Besides having the desirable (and rarer) six-speed manual transmission, this first-gen R8 has only 17,000 miles (23,359 kilometers) on the clock. It’s also in pristine condition, sports a classic silver exterior over a black cabin, and its equipment list includes features like a reversing camera, navigation system, Band & Olufsen stereo, heated seats and keyless entry.

More importantly, its warranty is said to be fully transferable and good until 2022, or 60,000 miles (96,561 km). It covers “all mechanical failures with only $100 deductible”, as per the ad posted on AutoTrader. It was also recently serviced, benefiting from a new oil level sensor, air filters and oil change, and it’s accompanied by three sets of keys.

The R8 is located in California and passed the smog check requirements, so it’s basically ready to hit the road.

What would you choose for the money: a new BMW M4 Coupe with a few options, a Corvette Stingray 3LT with the Z51 performance pack and nearly $4k in change (possible discounts notwithstanding), or this R8?
