This year’s Beijing Motor Show has played host to the release of scores of new all-electric vehicles which promise to revolutionize the Chinese motoring industry. The Singulato iS6 from Zhiche Auto, is one of the latest.

The CUV is powered by two electric motors delivering a combined 349 hp and 428 lb-ft (580 Nm) of torque. Details about the battery’s capacity remain unclear but in the New European Driving Cycle, Singulato claims the iS6 can travel up to 249 miles (400 km) on a single charge.

Design wise, the Singulato is curious to say the least. Up front, it has slim headlights with daytime running lights similar in shape to those used in the Range Rover. Move down the CUV’s sides and you’ll find pop-out handles as well as Rolls-Royce-esque suicide doors for rear-seat passengers. The rear of the iS6 is characterized by two oval-shaped taillights with a single brake light stretching the width of the rear-end. In between the taillights, a small screen has been incorporated which can display customized messages.

There’s no mistaking this CUV with any other

Inside, the iS6 includes a massive 15.6-inch infotainment system and a screen that can swivel between portrait and landscape orientations. The instrument cluster is then made up of a single 12.3-inch screen and is complemented by a 16.4-inch head-up display. Chrome air vents that mimic the shape of the taillights are also present and help to give the CUV a surprisingly premium look.

Other important features of the iS6 include its level 2 autonomous technology and five- or seven-seat configurations. For tech-obsessed customers, they’ll be pleased to know that the Singulato has no less than 12 USB ports.

Zhiche Auto intends on starting sales of the Singulato iS6 sometime before 2020.
