Tesla Adds New Interior Options For The Model S And Model X

Tesla is introducing a few updates for the interior of the Model S and Model X, giving more options to prospective buyers of the high-performance EVs.

Most accent trim pieces in the interior of the Tesla Model S and Model X will be using a new, darker graphite finish and that applies to all interior options, Electrek reports.

Tesla will also offer the new and lighter ‘Oak Décor’ trim which is part of the ‘Cream Premium’ interior option to all versions, bar the P100D models.

The Black Textile pack is now also unavailable for the range-topping Model S and X, as Tesla is looking into way to streamline its production process. The EV maker started bundling interior finish options last year for the same reason.

That has resulted in buyers having fewer ways to spec the interior of their new Tesla, with the company claiming that the current available options have been put together by using years of sales data and choosing the most popular combos.

According to the same report, Tesla said that the changes to the interior options are effective immediately and that current orders still in pre-production are being updated.

As for the Model 3, customers wishing to get a white interior will have to wait a little longer as Tesla will make the option available during the second half of the year. Currently the only interior option for the entry-level Tesla is black faux-leather upholstery.

Nice that Tesla is keeping up with offering new interior color choices! Now if I only have $100K+ to buy one, I be set!

I think they should drop the carbon fiber interior trim. It’s just tacky regardless of where it’s used.

      Just the opposite.

Totally agree. I like my vehicles to feel luxurious, wood, leather, lighter colors.

How about a set of fire extinguishers and a hammer to break open the windows/doors in the event of a crash?

    • Moveon Libtards

      So true. Sad, but true.

Notice how there is another positive Tesla article on this site (some call it spam; others call it Tesla fanboism)…and absolutely no mention at all of yet another Tesla killing its occupants in a fiery crash like the one a day ago in Florida that killed two teenagers.

Well they are exotic for most people (outside of US)

Too bad they keep taking away good exterior colors.
