Last summer, Audi went and trademarked the RS Q8 nameplate, which in turn let us know that a bonkers version of their upcoming Coupe SUV was definitely in the cards.

We also know that it will probably feature large oval exhausts (typical for Audi RS products), bigger wheels, bigger brakes and a body kit that should turn this already sporty-looking crossover into something that belongs in the same conversation as a BMW  X6 M or a Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 Coupe.

That’s pretty much what X-Tomi Design had in mind too when he took the new Q8 and dropped it closer to the road, gave it new wheels, a modified bumper, new grille, black mirror casings and some black inserts throughout.

What’s funny is that the more aggressive the Q8 looks, the less inclined we feel to call it a Coupe SUV. It really does give off a jacked up wagon vibe, something our readers, seem to agree with.

Here’s the standard Audi Q8 for reference

What lies underneath

What’s frustrating about the upcoming Audi RS Q8 as of right now, is that we’re not entirely sure what’s going on underneath the hood. The car is based on the same platform as the Lamborghini Urus, but even if it does have the latter’s 4.0-liter twin turbo V8 engine, we don’t know if it will put down the same 650 PS (641 HP) and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) of torque.

As for what it will look like on the inside, take the cabin of the Q8, add sportier seats, carbon fiber, Alcantara, some contrast stitching, and you’ll probably get the picture right.
