Teen Gets Head Stuck In Truck Exhaust After Drinking At Music Festival

A lot of crazy things happen at music festivals but you normally don’t see emergency crews having to rescue someone who stuck their head up a truck’s exhaust pipe.

Unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened in Minnesota last week. According to the Hutchinson Leader, 19 year old Kaitlin Strom was attending the Winstock Music Festival on Friday with her friends when she saw a truck with a huge exhaust and thought “Hey, my head could probably fit in that.”

What happens next is pretty obvious as Strom proceeded to stick her head in the exhaust where it became stuck. As she explained to the paper, “[I was] kind of confused because I didn’t know what was going on, because I couldn’t see around me, but I trusted everyone who was around that I knew to get me out safely.”

Someone eventually called the Winsted Fire Department and they arrived on the scene to free Strom from the exhaust. Firefighters ended up having to cut the exhaust system apart and Storm estimates that she stuck for approximately 45 minutes.

While sticking your head in a tailpipe is always a bad idea, it’s worth noting that alcohol was involved. The paper says Storm was cited for underage drinking by the McLeod County Sheriff’s Office.

After being given a medical exam and returning home, Storm realized someone had posted a video of her embarrassing incident online. While the clip is only a few seconds long, it has already been viewed by millions of people.

As for the owner of the truck, she apologized and he told her “I’m just glad you’re okay. Don’t worry about it.” She didn’t pay him for the damage but the truck has already been fixed.

so it was just the upper side of her skull from what I can see in the video, right? she only did it for attention, she could’ve slipped her head out just like she got it in, because the head doesn’t deform

And this is why I avoid the flyover states.

WOODLAWN, The Bronx (WABC) — A woman somehow managed to get her head stuck in the closed doors of a subway car in the Bronx Tuesday.

      • MultiKdizzle

It’s easy to imagine a scenario in which one might be caught in an electronically closing door. An exhaust pipe, not so much

  • TrevP

    1. Who has an exhaust pipe that big?
    2. Why would you stick your head in anything?

I’m most likely wrong but I think she might have did it for attention. The things people do these days to make a name for themselves is shocking to say the least.

    • Matt

How would she have known she was going to get stuck and go viral though? She was just drunk and dumb.

  • Jason Panamera

Made my day. Now, it’s a true piper.

  • outbackandy

It’s going to take some years for people to forget that one.

  • START THE TRUCK…POP, IT’S OUT.
I DON’T KNOW WHO’S THE BIGGER MORON THE WOMAN WHO STUCK HER HEAD IN IT OR THE PERSON WHO PUT IT ON THE TRUCK IN THE FIRST PLACE.

  • Matt

“Homer, are you just holding onto the can?”

  • karmat

Can you imagine how loud that saw was inside that pipe? She must be deaf now.

  • Raul

    Dumbass woman

  • Harry_Wild

These teens will try anything because they just plain stupid now a days! LOL!

    • Marty

      ”they’re”
      ”nowadays”

(You should probably check your grammar before calling someone else stupid. LOL.)

      • Bo Hanan

Leave Harry alone. “These teens nowadays is stupid.” (Smile)…

      • Harry_Wild

I did not know you were checking! I just type the comments fast and not for grammar sake! But I see your point! Still, it not worth the time and effort to make it correct on grammar since that would take your job away!

  • Miknik

Remember that these people are allowed to vote…

  • Bo Hanan

I just wonder how drunk do you have to be to put your entire head (face too) inside a trucks exhaust pipe? No concerns about dirt-residue-“black-stuff?” And “its” a female too.
