An accident involving a Corvette C7, aka as the Stingray, and a Renault Fluence occurred earlier this week in the Russian city of Tula. As a result of the impact, the driver of the Renault had to be hospitalized.

A security camera mounted near a pawnshop was on duty when the driver of the Fluence made an ill-advised left turn just as the Corvette was coming his way – albeit a little too fast, judging by the second video.

According to eyewitness reports, the driver of the Corvette did not have a driver’s license, but that’s about all we know, as the official investigation is still under way.

As you can see, after the Corvette hit the French sedan, it was propelled directly towards the front steps of the previously-mentioned pawnshop, where two people were getting ready to enter the store. Seeing that out-of-control car coming towards them must have made for a very scary sight; luckily for them, they were already up the stairs.

With regards to damage, the Vette was clearly totaled. We can’t imagine it being fit for any sort of repair following such violent back to back impacts (first with the car, then with the building). As for the Renault, that one’s not going anywhere any time soon, either.
