2018 Fiat 500L And 500X Get Their Shine With New Chrome Appearance Packs

Fiat is launching two new Chrome Appearance packages, or groups, as the automaker is referring to them, for both the 500L and 00X. The packs are available to purchase in Fiat U.S. dealerships effective immediately.

The 2018 Fiat 500L Chrome Appearance Group is based on the 500L Pop version, yet adds the following exterior features: front fascia chrome accents, rear-reflector chrome bezels, body-side molding chrome accents and fog lamps and 17-inch wheels with black pockets.

Customers can order their cars with any one of seven exterior colors in the Grigio Chiaro (graphite metallic), Bianco (white), Rosso (red), Grigio Scuro (grey metallic), Blue Tornado and Blue Denim. The price of the pack on the Fiat 500L is $495 on Pop models, which start at $20,995 MSRP.

As for the 500X, it can be equipped with the Satin Chrome Appearance group, available on FWD and AWD versions, from $695 and $395 respectively.

The package adds satin chrome accents on exterior mirrors, door handles, body-side molding, fog lamp bezels, front fascia, front and rear badges, liftgate handle, tail lamp bezels and satin silver roof rails. It also features fog and cornering lamps, automatic headlights and 17-inch alloys (for FWD models only).

“The Fiat 500X offers all-wheel-drive confidence, five-passenger seating and best-in-class standard torque,” stated FCA North America exec, Steve Beahm. “The Fiat 500L is powered by a MultiAir Turbo engine and features a spacious, flexible interior with a nearly 360-degree view. Our new Chrome Appearance Groups give each of these Italian-designed, fun-to-drive vehicles a sleek, refined, custom look.”

Well, they’re gonna fly outta the showrooms now…

I didn’t even know they were still making those. The sales of them here must be in the dozens

Yes Fiat brand is leave U.S. market.
But 5oo L still is the bestseller in Europe in small MPV class.
FIAT 500X is third best selling car in Italy, before VW Golf.

First off, that thing is ugly inside and out, yes I seen them in person, like a minvan made to look like a 500.
Second, of course it is in Italy, they are all drunk.
Europe needs better looking MPV’s then.

        • Michelin

May be. But I (and most European) prefers 500L before Opel Meriva or Kia Soul, that sell well in U.S.
About Italians drunk, I invite you to read statistic data on alcool abuse by different countries.

Adding chrome is pretty much the opposite of what everyone wants…

Do they think it’s the year 2000?

  • atomicbri

I see lots of 500Ls down here where I live in Florida. And lots of 500s, but not a lot of the 500Xs.

That new 500L wins the coveted “sexiest potato with wheels” award. I imagine even the new ones come smelling inside like someone didn’t get their diaper changed until they got home last time.

  • driv3r

500X does look good somehow at least. I’ll never get what they were thinking when designing the 500L. It’s bad design all over and thats from an Italian company. Aren’t they usually known for excellent and appealing design?

Fiat oh Fiat, give it up already. These monstrosities should be killed with fire
