Dark Blue 2019 Aston Martin Vantage Cuts A Dash On The Streets Of Montreal

The 2019 Aston Martin Vantage is still a fairly new car, with the first official images having been released in November of 2017. Now, owners are starting to receive their cars and more and more Vantages are being spotted in traffic.

This of course gives us the chance to better gauge the car’s overall aesthetic, seeing it surrounded by normal, everyday vehicles. So far, there’s no other way to put it other than to admit that the new Vantage is a really aggressive car.

You could argue that it’s maybe not as elegant as the old one, though overall the British luxury brand did a great job of giving it a “keen dynamic edge and sharp look” – their words, not ours.

This dark blue example was caught on camera in Montreal, Canada, by spotter olivierlessard. If we had to make a calculated guess, we’d say that the exterior is covered either in Mariana Blue or Ultramarine Black (more blue than black).

Looks aside, the all-new Vantage is all about performance, thanks to its AMG-sourced twin turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 putting down 510 PS (503 HP) and 685 Nm (505 lb-ft) of torque with the help of an 8-speed ZF automatic. Factor in its dry weight of 1,530 kg (3,373 lbs) and you’ll understand why the new Vantage can rocket to 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 3.5 seconds, while its top speed is 195 mph (313 km/h).

Prices start at around $150,000 (in the U.S.), somewhere between what you’d spend on a Porsche 911 GT3 and a Turbo S.

this is seriously one of the sexist cars EVER!

  • atomicbri

Overall the car is excellent in design, however, I am not a fan of the front air intake as to me it looks like an aftermarket metal mesh kit one buys at an auto store and it is a little off-putting to me. Otherwise gorgeous car.

    • If I was fortunate enough to have one, I’d definitely think about getting the grill mesh spray-painted black.

      • fgclolz

You can actually option it with a black mesh, no need to repaint.

        • Oh really, that’s fantastic. I’d deffo go for the black mesh option in that case.

    • Belthronding

i like it overall and no problem with air intake. but sure aston could have been making front end conservative rather than love or hate design like existing one.

    • David Doyle

You can spec the car from the factory to have the black mesh grille. I don’t know why someone would opt for the silver mesh lol

The workmanship very bad. the point where the hood combines with bumper you will see back part of headlamps ( fifth Photo)

Can’t get past Miata headlights on an Aston Martin. Also, front grill is ugo and the LED DRL’s are weak. Other than that looks sexy

  • Matthew Boyd

    Yeaaahhh buddy. That rear though!

My city. But the worse place to drive a supercar with all those potholes

  • Wandering_Spirit

Beautiful. It still retains quite a lot of elegance while not looking boring.

  • Six_Tymes

looks great! BUT, i still cant get past the headlight design, I still say they should have done something better

  • Ermal Morina

This is one of the most beatiful cars, like ever, with the most horrendeous grill/air intake. This is a weird combo,I want to hate it for the grill, but this is just gorgeous.

  • Dennis James

A bit overboard, actually way overboard – even crossing the line to the eBay replica territory – on the rear diffuser and front grille, but overall the “old” Aston design (especially on the regular cars, not these pimped-out cars) just look way better than the new DB11 language.
