There are cool supercars and then there’s the Aston Martin V12 Vantage with a manual transmission.
Shoehorning a big engine into a small car always creates something special but in the case of the V12 Vantage, the result is just mesmerizing. It combines the beautiful looks of the original Vantage with thunderous power, courtesy of that loud V12 that looks caged in that tiny engine bay.
Measuring 6.0 liters in capacity, the naturally aspirated V12 produces 510hp and 420lb-ft of torque and plays the kind of tune that make the hair on the back of your neck stand up. 0-60mph comes in 4.2 seconds, 0-100mph in 9.2 while top speed is 190mph. Impressive numbers but the V12 Vantage isn’t a numbers car. It’s the whole package.
The simple fact that there isn’t a single V12 car available today with a manual transmission should be enough for collectors to be all over this car over at Bring A Trailer. It’s 2011 Carbon Black Edition, meaning it features extra special goodies, like a Carbon Black metallic paint over an Obsidian Black leather-trimmed interior, leather-Alcantara sports seats, diamond-turned alloy wheels and carbon fiber details. The shifter is milled from a single piece of aluminum.
Having covered just under 15,000 miles, this 2011 V12 Vantage Carbon Black Edition is accompanied by a clean Carfax and 27 service records, and is described to be in a lovely condition.
Car community still hasn’t given the manual Aston Martin V12 Vantage the credit it truly deserves, but when it does, prepare to see their values shoot for the moon.
