Maserati Levante Gets 350 HP V6 Petrol In UK, From £61,425

Maserati’s MY19 Levante range has gained the Ghibli’s 350 HP 3.0-liter V6 petrol unit, an engine that can now also be ordered on the Quattroporte flagship.

Prices start from £61,425 for a V6-powered Levante, whereas the Quattroporte costs at least £78,120 with that same engine. Both vehicles are available to order effective immediately, with deliveries expected in September of this year.

“We are pleased to be able to now offer the 350hp petrol engine on the Maserati Levante, which in addition to the 430hp petrol engine we introduced last year and the 275hp diesel we offered at launch, provide a much greater choice to our UK customers. The introduction of the more cost effective, entry level petrol engine is as a result of the demand in the market and we expect it to sell extremely well,” stated Maserati GB exec, Mike Biscoe.

The 350 available horses in both the Levante as well as the Quattroporte allow the former to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in 6 seconds flat, before maxing out at 156 mph (251 km/h). Meanwhile, the latter will do the same sprint in just 5.5 seconds and has a top speed of 167 mph (268 km/h).

For the 2019 model year, the Levante range now comes with optional Adaptive Full LED Matrix headlights and Integrated Vehicle Control (IVC) as standard, a system that’s already available on the Ghibli and Quattroporte.

Exterior colors have also been refreshed, with a choice of ten colors for the Quattroporte and 11 for each of the Ghibli and Levante models. The likes of Rosso Potente and Blu Nobile are completely new.

Like it, but wish the headlights would get updated with a more modern look and ditch that round bulb just hanging there. Also, the chrome lip that looks to be connecting the DRL on the grill is ugly and out of place. This engine should make sales a little more favorable fro both models.
