A massive rhino has been filmed repeatedly ramming an SUV at a safari park in Mexico.

The incident took place in the central state of Pueblo on July 30, as visitors were driving their vehicles through the park where the animals roam freely.

The huge rhino took an interest in a black SUV driving through the park and decided to give the occupants a serious fright by ramming it and refusing to let up. Video of the incident shows park rangers trying to control the rhino as it follows the SUV and continues to damage it with its massive horn.

In a statement, the park said the male rhino was trying to show off to a female.

“What happened is an isolated case related with the natural and wild nature of this species.

“We took the necessary measures in order to avoid something similar happening again. The rhino was separated and is staying in another part of the park while the fertile period of the female rhino ends,” the park said.

Mexican media reports that the SUV suffered some damage, but that none of the occupants were injured in the crazy ordeal. Still, we don’t think the SUV would have had insurance coverage for rhino attacks…
