BMW made sure that the second-generation X4 was better than its predecessor in pretty much every category.

The new X4 is more spacious, yet weighs less by 110 lbs (50 kg), sports a redesigned interior, much more modern on-board tech and a more muscular appearance, aided by the larger front grille and aggressively-styled taillights that feature a 3D surface design.

Of course, customers don’t actually have to “settle” for just that. Take this X4 M40i version for example, on display at the automaker’s Abu Dhabi dealership. It’s equipped with M Performance carbon fiber mirror covers and front stickers, as well as an AC Schnitzer rear wing and front spoiler.

Thankfully, as this is an M40i, the term “all show and no go” doesn’t apply. Its turbocharged 3.0-liter straight-six unit produces 355 HP (360 PS) and 365 lb-ft (500 Nm) of torque, allowing you to accelerate from zero to 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 4.6 seconds – or 4.8 seconds if you’re counting to 100 km/h (62 mph). The M40i already comes with variable sport steering, M sport suspension and M Sport brakes, among other features.

As for the interior, there aren’t any custom mods that we can see. It features red leather seats, contrast stitching and what looks a little like carbon fiber trim on the dashboard and door panels.
