Pagani Huayra Is A Meticulously Crafted, Jewel-Like Ballistic Missile

The Pagani Huayra is special; there’s no doubting that. But just how special? Let Doug DeMuro explain.

The popular YouTuber was recently handed the keys to a Huayra and set about discovering all its interesting features before hopping behind the wheel and experiencing what kind of driving experience $3 million buys you.

If you’re a fan of the Huayra, or any Pagani for that matter, you’ll know that there is a lot going on in the interior. Stepping into the cabin of a Huayra is like stepping into an oversized watch mechanism that’s been beautifully handcrafted out of the finest materials imaginable.

The Huayra’s cockpit is dominated by brushed aluminum, but also features premium Italian leather which customers can spec to their tastes. Among the most intriguing features are the toggle switches found throughout, which make it feel like you’re controlling a vintage aircraft whenever you open the door, turn on the reading lights or even access the air conditioning temperature controls.

Power for the Huayra is provided by a 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 built by engine experts at AMG. Horsepower and torque figures vary between certain Huayra models, but the typical model shown here delivers 720 hp at 5800 rpm and 738 lb-ft (1000 Nm) of torque between 2250 and 4500 rpm. This monumental powertrain, combined with the fact that the car weighs just over 1300 kg (2866 lbs) dry, means it is insanely fast. Oh, and did we mention that it’s rear-wheel drive only? Better have your wits about you then.

Is it worth $3 million, though? Well, tell you what: just watch the video and then decide for yourselves.
