If you don’t have the money to buy a new Porsche 911 and park it in your garage, what’s the next best thing you can do? Buying a poster to stare at was a solution. But now, there’s another one.

The alternative to posters is painting a life-like car on your garage wall. The following Porsche enthusiast did just that, and the results speak for themselves.

The first video right below details how the artist was able to paint a blue 911 on his garage wall and give the image the impression of it being 3D and there actually being a Porsche in the garage.

In order to make the image as realistic as possible, the artist used a projector to display an image of the 911 on the wall. Doing so makes it much easier to get the right proportions for the German sports car and helps to significantly enhance the overall quality of the painting.

With that thing sorted, the man began the pain-staking painting process. Rather than using a paint brush, he exclusively used a plethora of spray paints and was able to expertly paint the Porsche badge on the wall as well as fake windows which perfectly match the actual ones in the garage.

From here, work on the car itself started. Armed with a stack of blue paint, the artist brought the 911 to life, accurately depicting everything from the vehicle’s wheels and brake calipers to its interior, headlights, and even the front license plate.

The finished result is exceptionally impressive and makes us wish we took art classes in school a little more seriously.
