Lamborghini Urus Reaches 60 MPH In A Blistering 2.9 Seconds!

The Lamborghini Urus is quick. Just how quick? Well, in the right conditions, it can almost keep pace with its supercar siblings, the Huracan and Aventador, in a straight-line.

Brooks from the DragTimes YouTube channel recently tested out a blue Urus to see just how accelerative it can be. The results will shock you.

With no passenger on board, the super SUV achieved a best 0-60 mph (96 km/h) time of 2.93 seconds. Not only is that on pace with many supercars, it’s also more than half a second faster than Lamborghini’s official figure.

The impressive figures don’t just stop in the sprint to 60 mph. Given a little more room, the Urus ran to 100 mph (160 km/h) in 5.7 seconds and launched from 60-130 mph (96 km/h-209 km/h) in 8.8 seconds.

Powering the Urus is a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 delivering 641 hp and 627 lb-ft (850 Nm) of torque. Like the Aventador and most Huracans, the Urus is also all-wheel drive, but does weigh a substantial 2200 kg (4900 lbs).

Logic may dictate that the added weight would make it significantly slower than other Lambos, but apparently the torque of the turbocharged engine and AWD somehow seem to overcome that obstacle.

Yawn… does a sub 3 really impress anymore?

    • SpongeBob99Swell

Considering how a pretty heavyweight SUV (power alone) can reach 60 mph as fast as a super sports car for that matter… ( *cough* *cough* Nissan GT-R)

      • Dr Bjorn K. Von Strangefingger

Yeah… like that jeep GC srt Hellcat thing that’s wickedness fast!

  • Callanish

That dash is oh so cheap looking. Right out of an 80’s video game

    • Dr Bjorn K. Von Strangefingger

Ha! Agree. I think sports cars are nearing a wall with acceleration given who really is going to be able to handle, as well as tell the difference between 2,.5 seconds vs 3.5 seconds. Think about this: Mustang GT is now a sub 4 0 to 60 beast… be my guest paying Lambo coin for that extra second.

I was just in one a couple hours ago. There is so much plastic in it. I was also in a Bentley Continental today. Surprisingly the Bentley coupe had more room in the front seats than the bigger Lambo.

  • sidewaysspin

Tesla will beat that with a regular family car.

    • Matt

Yes but it’s electric so not a apples vs apples comparison.

  • dumblikeyou2

I dunno. I don’t want my supercar superSUV sounding like a monster truck a tractor pull event. I’m over the burble exhaust and artificially induced rumbly engine. This thing should purr like a supercar.
And why does everything that’s filmed in Florida look that much more low-grade than anywhere else in the world? They all look like their up to no good the people living there. Like a state filled with dishonest used-car salesmen types.

It’s more of a truck really.
