The Porsche Road Trip app launched late last week on iTune and offers owners of the German brand’s models details about some of the best driving roads on earth.
To use the application, Porsche owners simply input the desired length of their trip, ranging from half or full-day drives, through to a two-day journey, and the app will offer a number of overnight stay options. Additionally, the app curates the perfect route for the trip and provides recommendations for select restaurants and hotels along the way.
Once users input their desired route and destination, they can easily reserve and book through the Porsche Road Trip app. For the entirety of the journey, the app’s navigation function will ensure drivers stay on the best possible route, filled with addictive driving roads.
What’s more, it doesn’t matter what Porsche model users own, the app will work with any of them, including classics. The service will be available directly through the Porsche infotainment system in the future, starting with the new 911 next year.
At the time of writing, the Porsche Road Trip app only contains routes in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the U.S. Porsche says it will add countries as the application grows.
For owners who simply want to go for a spontaneous outing, the application can also recommend nearby driving roads and create a circuitous route.
