Someone Ordered A Pink (!) Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake

Yes, taste is a highly subjective thing, but we believe that Aston Martin should draw a red line as far as customization of a vehicle as arresting as the Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake is concerned.

Deliveries of the limited-edition Shooting Brake commenced recently and Aston Martin chief executive Andy Palmer took to Instagram to publish a couple of images of a pink example. You know, the kind of color best suited to Barbie than a beautiful car from a renowned British automaker.

Due to the exclusivity of the Zagato Shooting Brake and the fact that each unit costs over half a million dollars, the automaker will happily paint the car in pretty much any color imaginable. That means the person that ordered this example had the option of painting it in colors such as dark blue, dark red (like the car it’s pictured next to), or even potentially in a matte finish. Instead, of all the options available, they chose pink…

While we think the color choice is horrid, we completely understand why someone would want to purchase the Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake. Not only is it limited to just 99 units worldwide, but it is also one of the most beautiful cars produced by Aston Martin in recent memory.

Will this make it less desirable when the come times to offload it? We do not know but, evidently, resale value wasn’t at the top of this customer’s priorities.

  • robotlogic

Why on earth would Aston Martin of even taken that order let alone paint one of their cars with it?

    • Momogg

      Because the customer is king.

  • Should’ve at least kept the top two-tone. Barf.

  • Jin Tao

Interpol should issue an international warrant for this owner ASAP! Crime committed in broad daylight!

  • kachuks

Regardless of color choice, one sexy ass on this shooting break.

  • ace_9

Anyone thinking that this is something horrible clearly lives in some pink bubble regarding these types of cars. Manufacturers are making them to make as much money as possible and they will sell it to anyone rich enough. If I had the real money, I would order McLaren Senna in shiny gold color with some crystals stuffed into the bodywork. Just to show everyone how it really works with these cars and that they are nothing more than an expensive commodity.

Hey someone want’s to be ugliest, why be prettiest!

watch what you’re sayin’ ’bout my granma.

  • Six_Tymes

  • дапвт

    Look good in any color

  • haji

I’m fine with mine in solid black.

    • Bash

Or a very very dark shade of gray. lol

It’s either Paris Hilton’s or part of MaryKaye’s platinum sellers membership.

    • Ben

      That platinum seller’s status…

  • Ben

Getting “the same colors” isn’t a problem. Exotic’s resale can vary greatly due to the OEM paint choice. An owner can always get a wrap.

  • Ben

I agree. Hot pink with black contrast is such a great color combo, up there with Red/Black and White/Black. Hell, IMO, its a better color combo than lime Green/Black, but nothing touches Blue/Yellow or white, IMO.

    • MarketAndChurch

Lime green / black, depending on the shade of lime green, could actually look good on this car. Blue / yellow sounds disgusting.

      • Ben

Blue and Yellow is a good, but less used color combo. The Blue Angels being a prime example of the color scheme. Search up Blue & yellow wraps on various cars, not bad at all.

  • Bash

    Is that you Kim?

  • MarketAndChurch

    I think… you’re trying too hard.

  • cooper

    Looks like a Pepto-Bismol tampon.

  • MarketAndChurch

The car looks good enough to make this vulgar choice of color bearable.

  • enthusia

I had no idea Angelyne fancied Aston Martins.

  • Color is truly matching the sheer ugliness of that Zagato butt.

  • SteersUright

The car itself already looks like a bastardized Aston and no car should be the color of Pepto Bismol.

    It’s for Bruce Jenner.
