When Tesla publishes something on the internet, the world takes notice – and that includes a short video of a Model 3 sliding around on a snow track.

The 15-second clip was recently shared on Tesla’s official YouTube channel. Unfortunately, no details were provided about where the video was shot or just how a Model 3 found itself on a snow racetrack. Either way, it captured our attention and we thought it might catch yours as well.

A number of automakers offer ice and snow driving schools to customers but, as far as we know, Tesla isn’t one of them. Despite not taking part in an official Tesla driving school, the driver of the Model 3 clearly felt comfortable enough to slide the all-electric sedan through the snow with precision.

In all likelihood, the car we’re looking at features all-wheel drive and is therefore either the Long Range or the Model 3 Performance. Drifting one of the rear-wheel drive Model 3 variants on snow would be entirely possible, and probably even more fun, but for whatever reason the automaker went with AWD.

In the past, Teslas have actually proven themselves to be quite capable in snow. In fact, we’ve seen numerous videos of the EVs conquering snowy conditions, especially the Model X.
