2019 Mercedes A-Class Sedan Getting Super Bowl LIII Ad

After announcing U.S. pricing for their new A-Class Sedan, Mercedes have now confirmed that their latest model will also be the star of a 60-second Super Bowl LIII commercial, along with Atlanta-based rapper Ludacris.

The game is set to take place on February 3 at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. The German automaker owns naming rights for two major NFL stadiums, one being in Atlanta (home of the Falcons), and the other being the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, home of the Saints.

Having a Grammy Award winning artist like Ludacris show up next to the A-Class Sedan makes perfect sense, seen as how he is also a Mercedes-Benz brand ambassador, and the car is mostly aimed at millennial buyers, consumers between the ages of 22 to 37, as reported by Autonews.

The 2019 A-Class Sedan, set to go on sale next month, is priced from $33,495 (destination and delivery charge included), which means it just edges out the all-new CLA as the automaker’s least expensive model in the U.S. In entry-level spec (A 220), it comes with Mercedes’ advanced MBUX multimedia system, which features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment display.

Other goodies include the standard Panorama roof, 17-inch alloy wheels, and LED headlights and taillights. On the safety front there’s Active Brake Assist, Crosswind Assist, and an adaptive braking system that includes Hill Start Assist and a HOLD function – everything at no extra cost.

Weird how Mercedes used to be a premium brand. Normally if you said you drove a mercedes people were like “cool he must have money” and now its just like “eh, normal”

    • Merc1

Only to the ignorant who don’t know what Mercedes you’re driving and/or the ones that don’t know anything about the brand, i.e. Americans. A-Class has been around since 1997.

      • TheAmerican

Yeah I know. But 97 is not too long ago tbh

        • Merc1

So what. People said the same thing in 1983 when the 190E appeared. It’s all BS as evidenced by the fact that Mercedes has no trouble selling high end cars in better numbers than any of it’s mainstream rivals. That alone says that all this nonsense about them not being a luxury brand is just that nonsense.

Thats why they are under Porsche forever, Benz is is the luxury car of peasants.

          • kenny sauray

Under Porsche? In what form? Mercedes is ahead of Porsche in every segment. Can you elaborate on that comment! Mercedes is the luxury brand leader worldwide too

          • gambit gamboa

Well performance is one category, and none of the Benzs can even touch the 911 GT3 RS.

Sorry, but when people think of luxury they dont think of benz lol, they think of Rolls Royce. Its actually well known that Porsche is one cut of above over Benz.

When even a part time jobber can get an A class and wear the Benz badge, and which they will flood the streets, thats when the brand is worthless. Luxury is exclusivity as well.

Didn’t think it was worth to even answer to this. But I’ll put my pride down and say S63, S65 any Maybach, AMG GT63S, AMG GTr, AMG One, SLS, CLK GTR

I would rather by a Mazda 3 than this, this corporate design is boring.

When I think about Mercedes, I think about Ludacris LOL..

This car have a huge audience and fans. It has everything going for it and very smart of MB to bring this so an entry level car. The benchmark of this segment for sure.

Noobs will say anything to be relevant . Mercedes was running quarter mile times of 9.9 sec since 1997 with its ultra hypercar CLK GTR, I dont expect much from a non car guy, AMG-Mercedes One will annihilated any Porsche in every single way. A AMG GTR with less power than a GT3 RS is posting faster times
