Hoff-Autographed 1983 KITT Replica Is Very Accurate, Costs $60K

If you’re old enough to remember the original Knight Rider series and would like to revisit your childhood fantasy by getting behind the wheel of a Knight Industries Two Thousand Trans Am, this very realistic replica might just do the job.

The eBay ad specifies that the car has 70,000 miles (112,654 km) on the clock, while also showing that it features the full dashboard design, as it appeared on TV during Knight Rider season 3 and 4. The asking price? A cool $60k – or $59,999 to be exact.

True Knight Rider fans will want to know that the dashboard of the car was actually autographed by David Hasselhoff himself, who starred in the show as Michael Knight, the man behind the wheel of everyone’s favorite talking car.

The car also comes with a functional strobe light with the specific wave sound, a dialog interactive app that plays audio inside the car (it will reply to your questions), a custom audio system, smoked taillight glass, glass t-tops – the works. It even has those authentic black hub caps.

Now, in case you think the $60k price tag is a bit of a stretch, maybe you should consider that building such a car is by no means cheap. Last year, we saw that it took one man over 2,000 hours and $50,000 to come up with arguably the most accurate KITT replica we’ve ever seen, albeit it was a season 1 / 2 replica, with the dual monitors instead of the bigger TV, plus a few other differences.
