After paying a visit to G-Power, this Mercedes-AMG SL63 has enough grunt to take on some of the big boys in the supercar segment.

So, how much are we talking about? How about 800 PS (789 hp / 588 kW) and 1,100 Nm (811 lb-ft) of torque? That’s impressive, isn’t it? This output has been obtained by modifying the turbochargers, messing around with the software of the 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 and some other work in the engine compartment.

Compared to the stock AMG SL63, the tuner’s roadster is 215 PS (212 hp / 158 kW) and 200 Nm (148 lb-ft) of torque more powerful. As a result, the 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) acceleration time has dropped to 3.5 seconds, a 0.6 seconds improvement. The speed limiter has also been removed, so the SL63 can now go beyond the 340 km/h (211 mph) mark, according to G-Power. That’s 40+ km/h (25+ mph) more than the regular SL63 equipped with the optional AMG Driver’s Package.

G-Power has a selection of aftermarket parts in store for the German brand’s powerful roadster. However, this particular example, besides the boost in power, has only received a set of 21-inch Hurricane RR forged rims. Manufactured using ultralight high-tech aircraft aluminum, the twin-spoke wheels have a Diamond Cut high-sheen finish in Jet Black and come with 265/30 and 295/30 front and rear tires respectively, said to “ensure ample grip and safe road holding even at high speeds”.
