Skoda buyers in the UK can now place orders for the special edition Octavia vRS Challenge, which they can purchase either as a hatchback or an estate, with pricing starting from £30,085 ($39,438) for the 5-door, and £31,285 ($41,011) for the wagon.

The ‘Challenge’ sits on top of the regular vRS range, and features the same 2.0-liter TSI 245 PS (241 HP) engine, but adds 19-inch Xtreme black alloys, sports exhaust with black trim, black folding and auto-dimming mirrors, plus black vRS badging.

Inside, there are electronically-adjustable and heated Alcantara vRS seats, a color trip computer with lap timer, and keyless entry and start. Another feature that’s part of the vRS Challenge package is Dynamic chassis control, which uses electronically regulated dampers and steering to improve your driving experience. Meanwhile, front assist and front and rear parking sensors complete the special edition Skoda’s spec list.

Also standard are the Amundsen sat-nav system with the 8-inch touchscreen display and integrated Wi-Fi, full LED headlights with adaptive front light system and LED daytime running lights, LED interior light pack (10 colors) and a three-spoke sports leather steering wheel with the vRS logo. You also get paddle shifters on DSG-equipped models.

As for the previously-mentioned 2.0-liter TSI unit, it also packs 370 Nm (272 lb-ft) of torque and in a straight line, it can get you from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 6.6 seconds.

Compared to the regular Octavia vRS, the ‘Challenge’ version costs an extra £2,755 ($3,611).
