Montblanc Luggage Set For BMW 8-Series Costs More Than A Ford Fiesta

If you own the all-new BMW 8-Series Coupe and are planning on going on a long road trip, perhaps this Montblanc x BMW Luggage Set is worthy of your attention, as long as you’re not put off by the 14,900 euro (approximately $17,000) price tag.

Aside from the fact that it costs more than an entry level sub-compact hatchback, the luggage set easily stands out due to its high quality craftsmanship and limited availability.

Only 15 sets are being made, and they’re all handcrafted in Florence, Italy, using perforated black or red leather, with black darts. According to the two companies, the Montblanc x BMW Luggage Set was “designed to fit perfectly” in the trunk of the BMW 8-Series Coupe.

Bags of all kinds and a leather case

The Guitar Bag is easily the tallest item in the set. It features a detachable shoulder strap and can be worn either to the side or as a backpack. Inside, it features a neoprene lining, while the exterior houses two practical pockets for “music notes and guitar accessories.”

Moving on to the Surf Bag, it comes with two different compartments: a large main one and a smaller separate one for accessories. It too can be worn comfortably as a backpack. As for the Duffel Bag and Suit Bag, the former has an iconic round look and two separate zip compartments for shoes and accessories, while the latter features a double-folding design to go with its clever compartment system.

Finally, there’s the leather case. It has a large main compartment with elastic straps, three zip compartments and two large sections for accessories.

The Montblanc x BMW Luggage Set can be purchased now at BMW Welt in Munich.

The idea is stupid. I mean I understand BMW’s wanting potential customers to see this car as a Ferrari or Aston Martin competitor, but few will- I think.
A hint- start with the styling. If the new car had a hint of the original 8-Series “awe-factor”, then maybe yes.
