Would You Spend Nearly $3K On This Aftermarket Tesla Model 3 Front Bumper?

If you don’t want to spend a fortune on a complete body kit for your Tesla Model 3, you can nevertheless achieve a significant styling upgrade just by changing the front bumper.

Unplugged Performance offers one for $1,995, and despite the pretentious name (Ascension Front Fascia System), it’s pretty simple. It’s a complete bolt-on replacement solution designed to replace the Model 3’s front fascia with a performance-inspired redesign.

For the price, buyers get a front bumper cover with under panel continuity complete with all related hardware needed for installation. It can be installed using basic tools by any professional body shop and the result is a seamless factory-style bumper that gives Tesla’s entry-level EV a new look.

According to Unplugged Performance, the bumper design is made “with a vision of what the Model 3 can become while delivering a design that can be installed in the present.” Besides adopting a design that resonates with the car’s styling, the new bumper also ensures functionality, as it retains ducting for cooling systems, airflow management, as well as the Autopilot system, lighting and towing.

The Ascension Front Fascia System is made of impact resistant polymer and has a front lip edge that sits 0.5 inches (12.7 mm) lower than the factory bumper. The aftermarket part is also longer, extending the front edge of the car by approximately 2.75 inches (70 mm).

However, despite costing almost two grand, it comes unpainted, so you should set aside at least $800 for paint and installation, bringing the total perilously close to three thousand bucks.

    Nope

  • Mr. EP9

No. But at least you won’t have to wait 3 months to get a replacement for this. Wish I could say the same for Tesla.

    • Socaboy

Try custom ordering an MB that’s not on the lot…… 3 months. Education yourself.

      • Mr. EP9

About what? That you have to wait 3 months to get a replacement bumper for your Model 3 if you get in an accident?

        • Socaboy

You may want to call Tesla and confirm. This was the case last year and it’s old news. But if you keep saying it and you wish hard enough it may become a reality again. But that would mean they are still selling more than they cam make which might be depressing for you.

  • no25

i wouldn’t even buy a tesla to begin with so…

    • HN

Tesla cars are too good for you.

      • no25

HAHHAHAHAHAHAH i offended the wittle tesla fangirl :(((

        • HN

Tesla cars are for enthusiast drivers with higher income. Your income is probably in the bottom 5% therefore Tesla cars are too good for you.

Sorry to offending you, but FACT is FACT.

          • no25

Fact is fact. So you know my income? Okay. I’ve owned a Mercedes, BMW, and a Lexus. Stop making accusations like a little preschooler. I bet you can’t even afford a Tesla and you’re just some dumb teenage fangirl. Sorry, I offended you over a crappy car brand that barely made a profit.

          • Socaboy

Nice strawman …. What does profit have to do with the M3 being hands down a better driving car than your ” MB BMW and Lexus”? I have had MB and BMW and now M3. You can insult HN all you want facts are facts. Your an idiot if you actually think a C class performs better or a 325/330. Interior is not same level but driving? You’re a fool. I bet your a tool who never had the cars you claim to have and really don’t give af. And definitely not driven a Model 3. Lol you call NH a fan girl but better than an idiot. Your strawman argument shows exactly what you are.

          • no25

Literally that has nothing to do with anything I said. Don’t call me an idiot when you don’t even know the difference between “your” and “you’re.” Have a good, sweetie. 🙂

          • HN

            “FACT is FACT.”

Only the poorest idiots would claim that Tesla is not good for them. And you are one of those poorest idiots. Your claim of owning BMW, Mercedes is totally fake, your car is more likely 20-30 years old Toyota or Nissan or Huyndai.

            Idiot is an idiot.

          • Mr. EP9

Nah, that’s Porsche’s job and they have plenty of excellent products to suit your needs in that regards.

      • Mr. EP9

HA! That’s a good one. Tesla cars being too good for someone; best joke I’ve heard all day.

    • RedPillSucks

So why are you reading the article? Seems kind of troll-ish

  • Arthur Burnside

From ugly to not quite as ugly isn’t going to start a stampede by Model 3 owners.

  • enthusia

It looks immensely better without that beak, but for $3,000? hmmm…

  • TheBelltower

It’s not lottery-winner-ugly like the junk from Kahn Design or Brabus. But it’s not substantially different than stock either.

  • BlackPegasus

Comparison photos would’ve made this article a little less lazy. 🙄

  • MarketAndChurch

I prefer the stock front end.

  • SgtBeavis

It’s a really nice improvement but it’s not $3000 of nice improvement.

However, I love that blue color.
