If you’re the type of person who thinks the world is a better place when you have the wind in your hair when behind the wheel, then you’d probably take your hypercar as a convertible, rather than a fixed-roof variant.

Take Aston Martin’s AM-RB 003 Concept for example, a car whose design was clearly influenced by that of the Valkyrie, although the automaker described it as more of a “distillation”, rather than a dilution of the latter.

Be that as it may, when it finally does enter limited production (500 units), the AM-RB 003 will only be available as a Coupe, which isn’t ideal for driving enthusiasts that live in convertible-friendly parts of the world, places like Southern California, Florida, the UAE, Australia and so on.

While it’s not much of a consolation, they can join us in imagining what the AM-RB 003 would look like as a Roadster, or “Speedster” – which is what designer Aksyonov Nikita decided to call this digital drawing. Aside from the chopped off roof, this 003 also boasts production-ready wing mirrors, door handles, a practical interior design and red accents on multiple bits of bodywork.

Dare we say, it’s a pretty sleek-looking thing without that slightly bulbous roofline in the way. Sure, it probably wouldn’t be able to perform as well as the Coupe on the limit, but we’re betting that most people would be OK with that, seen as how performance will definitely not be an issue.

Like the Valkyrie, the AM-RB 003 was developed alongside Red Bull Advanced Technologies, a division of the Red Bull Racing Formula 1 team.
