Alfa Romeo Coupe Concept Looks Different, But It Won’t Be The New GTV

Alfa Romeo is working on a new sports coupe that’ll revive the GTV moniker, which is scheduled to hit production in 2021.

Naturally, an all-new Alfa sports car stirs the interest of petrolheads as well as aspiring designers alike, and these renderings are Taekang Lee’s iteration of such a model.

Lee appears to have taken a curious approach, mixing elements of the 4C and Giulia in a rather cab-rearward design. This digital rendering has a muscular hood seems to stretch on forever, and the design of the roof and stubby rear end suggest that it would probably be a two-seater. Up front, the concept’s design is dominated by thin headlights and a relatively small triangular grille that’s flanked by two large side intakes and lower intake at the base of the bumper.

Last year, Carscoops’ own Josh Byrnes created a rendering of what the new Alfa Romeo GTV may look like. Unlike Lee’s offering, it depicts the new sports coupe with a design that’s more in line with the Italian brand’s current corporate design language – and looks more feasible as well.

In any case, the new GTV is expected to launch in 2021 and should be powered by the twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V6 used by the Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio. In these two it has an output of 503 HP, but since the company is pushing for electrification, it is possible that it could be joined by an electric motor and push out over 600 HP – and, of course, reduce the all-important CO2 emissions…

GTV? More like GTA V because this looks like a car that belongs in a video game.

  • THAT FRONT END LOOKS LIKE A CARICATURE.

  • Bo Hanan

Was it built on the BMW Z4 platform?

  • Dude

I like the rear a lot but that front is a hard no

I actually gain around $6,000-$8,000 per month through the internet. It really is more than enough to definitely replace my prior tasks net income, primarily taking into account I simply just work around 20 hour each week from a home office.I lost my job after doing work for the same company for a long period, I required very reliable source of income. I was not thinking about packages that miguide you to make you millionnare within few days you see online. Those all are sort of ponzi mlm schemes wherein you have to first get interested customers thereafter sell a product to friends or family members or any person to make sure they will be in your team. The best benefit of working via internet is that I am always home with the children and also enjoy time with family on different beaches of the world. Honestly,it is actually simpler than you would think, all you need to do is fill out a very simple form to receive front line access to the Home Profit System. The guidelines are incredibly simple, you don’t have to be a computer expert, but you must be aware how to use the internet. It is as easy as being on Instagram. Here’s the most effective way to start ->-> JNS.FYI/4

R they joining z4 &supra ? New low for their design

So, you are really disappointed by Taekang Lee … it is hard when such a design icon keeps throwing s*its on us … I agree.

P.S. It has nothing to do with Alfa.

  • .. EL CHAPO THA GREAT 🤴🏻

The rear is more pleasing than the front.

  • Nordschleife

If interesting is code for unappealing then I agree but I cannot lie the rest end is nice.

Great modelling work but design could do with sorting

  • Howfarr

Side profile and rear end look fantastic
But that front end looks like a cartoon evil French villain

  • DaruniaG

They would never let something this ugly get into production.

    Terrible rendering

  • Stephen G

I’d rather see FCA shutter the doors on money sucking Alfa within two years. Nobody needs a Dodge Viper that’s had bodywork redesigned by an elementary school art class.

    • DMJ

      It’s a render…

  • Chef Evans

Looks suspiciously similar in design and proportion to the new Supra. The rear end is nice but the front end looks like it is perpetually stuck in mid-sneeze.

  • botornot387

    the dodge viper lives!

  • DR.FUNK

    I see mostly…no.

  • Alexandro Pietro

Sorry, but this design is a 2 seater coupe ,as itallians call “Berlinetta”and probably is not gtv…

  • gich

    ugly
