Ask Us Anything About Lexus’ New GS F 10th Anniversary Edition

The latest BMW M5 and Mercedes-AMG E63 may push the boundaries for performance-focused sports sedans but do you actually need that much power to have fun? This week, we’re enjoying the new Lexus GS F 10th Anniversary Edition and want to discover if it is something buyers should consider.

Lexus introduced the GS F 10th Anniversary Edition in late 2017 as a way to celebrate the 10th birthday of its F-branded performance models. In the flesh, and on paper, it certainly sounds the part, but we want you to bombard us with any questions you may have about this special edition GS F.

Is it overpriced? Does it look outdated? How well does it drive? As the title says, Ask Us Anything and I will try and answer them during our full review of the vehicle.

Before you start asking away in the comments section below, it’s worth being reminded of what the Lexus GS F is all about.

The Japanese car manufacturer introduced the current-generation GS in late 2011 and has been selling it in GS F guise since the 2016 model year. In the years since its release, all-new generations of the BMW M5 and Mercedes-AMG E63 have arrived with turbo V8s, each pushing out upwards of 600 hp.

By comparison, the GS F 10th Anniversary Edition features a naturally-aspirated 5.0-liter V8 engine with 467 hp (348 kW) at 6600 rpm and 390 lb-ft (530 Nm) of torque at 5,200 rpm. That may not seem like heaps for a vehicle of this size but by all accounts, the GS F handles very well and is a joy to drive. Stay tuned.

    An underrated sedan.

  • Merc1

Somewhat dated, and totally outclassed in the AMG/M/RS class, but this car has it’s charms. Naturally aspirated V8, Lexus quality and reliability, sharp handling, and it still looks the part.

  • That interior still holds up. I do hope that Lexus has plans to develop a new generation of the GS, which may be targeted at the A7 and CLS

The interior is definitely showing its age, it’s by no means bad but as far as design (in in some cases materials), it’s definitely a generation behind.

I still like GS as a bigger IS with sporty flavor..Lexus should keep the model alive. The ES is more of a gentleman sedan.

    • Bash

The ES is good a fleet hotel taxi!

You don’t buy this car taking value, tech or depreciation into consideration. You buy it because you WANT it.

    • Bash

      Amen to that.

Fantastic underrated sedan that still holds up!

  • Bash

This is one of my dream cars.

  • “Is it overpriced? Does it look outdated? ” The answer is probably Yes to both those questions,

So it’s only fitting if I ask myself do I want one the answer is …. Yes

I really like this interior desing. In my humble opinion it doesn’t look that dated. The only downside of this car is ( strange for me) CVT work during dynamic overtaking, what isn’t that hard driving 450h. Still lovely car which has ,,that something” in it.
