The All-New 2019 Jeep Sedan Is The Brand’s First Non-Crossover

After launching its first, Wrangler-based pickup truck, Jeep is entering a brand new segment with the all-new 2019 Sedan, which can be found now in dealerships across the nation, in order to rival the traditional German rivals in the premium saloon segment.

If you smell a rat here, you’re absolutely right.Jeep Middle East’s April Fools joke appeared on their official Facebook page, posting a picture of what looks like a Chrysler 300 wearing the front end of a Jeep Cherokee.

It doesn’t look as bad as it sounds, though. The pronounced shoulder lines and fender flares of the Chrysler 300 have blended in nicely with the headlights and grille of the Cherokee – but that’s about it.

The brand is currently in the middle of launching the new Gladiator midsize truck, set to arrive in dealers this summer, while it’s also working on a brand new three-row full-size SUV that will reportedly revive the Wagoneer nameplate.

Electrification also plays a major part in Jeep’s plans, with the plug-in hybrid versions of the Renegade and Compass models going on sale next year, while another model that is expected to get an electrified powertrain in 2020 is the Wrangler.

  • Six_Tymes

HA! Best one I’ve seen today

  • Honda NSX-R

    That actually looks pretty cool

    • Michael_66589

      Looks better than Cherokee crossover.

      • Jay

Yea I still like the 300 styling, it could work. Even if they made it into a wagon.

        • Nordschleife

Like a Chrysler Magnum so to speak?

          • Jay

Exactly, they aced it too early. They should produce less of the vehicles that don’t sell not none at all.

  • Jason Panamera

If they build off road wagon based on this sedan ( something like A6 allroad) I’d buy it.

    • paulgdeaton

A Jeep Magnum… that would do it!

  • TOO LAZY TO COME UP WITH A REAR END “RENDER”.

    • Bash

      It’s not a render, it’s a photoshop product.

      • McFly

        RENDER
4 b(1) : to reproduce or represent by artistic or verbal means : DEPICT

The word was around way before 3D graphics. Product designers and architects are still trained in rendering using felt pens, for example 🙂

What about a Jeep Chariot? .. sedan/ pickup like a 4 door El Camino..

  • no25

  • ctk4949

I know its April Fools, but that is disgusting!! lol

  • Paul

Happy April Fools Day to ya Carscoups.

  • Nordschleife

If Chrysler thought it could sell more 300’s this way. I believe they would make this look exactly like this. LOL

  • Craig

The thing is…. with an adjustable air suspension allowing for up to 8″ of ground clearance this would probably sell well.

    • Benjamin B.

I mean Volvo sells cross country sedans and Subaru also sold crossover sedans (also remember AMC?)

      • Craig

And they sell LOTS of them! A jeep sedan? Not a bad idea at all. [All started by the Eagle!]

    • ACM1899

Yea, definitely looks based on the 300 platform if its legit.

  • Marcos Drawer

    Jeep 300C…

  • Wandering_Spirit

    Perfect April 1st joke

  • Galaxium

I highly suspect the marketing campaign did this to test the waters if people actually would be interested in a Jeep sedan as well.
