Subaru has released official pricing and information for the 2020 Ascent in the United States. The mid-size SUV is now offered with a Rear Seat Reminder system on all trim levels that prevents child/pet entrapment in the vehicle by prompting drivers to check the rear seat before exiting.

At $31,995, the starting price remains unchanged. The base model comes with a 6.5-inch infotainment system with smartphone integration, multi-function display, three-zone climate control, Auto Hold, EyeSight tech, X-Mode, all-wheel drive, power door locks and side mirrors, and 18-inch wheels.

The Premium spec adds spill-repellent cloth upholstery, 8-inch infotainment system, Wi-Fi connectivity, leather-wrapped steering wheel and gearshift lever, rear climate controls, heated front seats, windshield wiper de-icer and rear privacy glass. Lane Change Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert and Blind-Spot Detection are also standard. New for the 2020MY for Premium and above grades is the one-touch interior illumination on/off controls. This version is offered from $34,395.

Priced from $39,345, the Limited version adds leather-trimmed upholstery, second-row captain chairs or bench seating, keyless entry&go, two additional USB ports that bring the total number to six, adaptive headlights with high beam assist, LED fog lamps, 20-inch wheels, a slightly revised exterior and more.

The range-topping Touring has an MSRP of $45,045 and brings Java Brown leather, woodgrain-pattern matte finish trim, heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats, 120-volt outlet, 8 USB ports, Harman Kardon audio, panoramic power moonroof, rain-sensing wipers, Smart Rearview Mirror and 180-degree camera at the front.

Power still comes from the 2.4-liter boxer engine that delivers 260 hp (264 PS / 194 kW) and 277 lb-ft (376 Nm) of torque, paired to a CVT with an 8-speed manual mode and steering wheel paddle shifters.
