If typical SUVs are not big enough to accommodate your needs, then there are a few other vehicles that you could buy. Arnold Schwarzenegger would approve of a Mercedes-Benz Unimog truck, but you could take a step out of the ‘ordinary’ and choose a van instead – not any van, though.

You’ve probably already figured out that this Nissan NV isn’t your typical van. First of all, it’s the passenger version, but the conversion works for the commercial body style too. And second, and most important, of course, it’s an off-road ready model, with the engine, gearbox and 4×4 system, complete with the transfer case, having been sourced from the Titan.

The custom Nissan NV comes with 35-inch tires, Avatar winch-ready steel bumpers, steel side steps and additional lights at the front. The roof tent will come in handy if you decide to spend a night (or more) away from home, and so will the shower, water and gas cans, all of which have been mounted on the custom roof rack, accessible via the rear ladder.

Given that it’s powered by a slightly de tuned 5.6-liter V8, rated at 375 hp and 387 lb-ft (525 Nm) of torque, linked to a 7-speed automatic transmission, power shouldn’t be a problem. And neither should traction, which can be switched between 2WD, 4WD high and low by using the interior knob sourced from… you guessed it, the Titan.

Those interested can simply go ahead and buy one from certain dealerships, like the one in Salt Lake City, but beware, this one costs $83,000, or more than twice a new Titan. You can lower that price by opting for the cargo van instead and cutting on some of the optional gear.

Now, let’s see how it goes off the beaten path in TFLOffroad’s video.
