Do you know what’s better than simply owning a Ferrari LaFerrari coupe? Owning a LaFerrari coupe and a LaFerrari Aperta, of course, like Harry Cheung.
The LaFerrari and LaFerrari Aperta are among the most desirable hypercars on the planet right now and Cheung’s are particularly special thanks to their eye-catching paint finishes which immediately distinguish them from all others.
Cheung took delivery of his LaFerrari hardtop a few years ago and wanted to have it painted in a special color. However, the Italian car manufacturer wouldn’t let him so he opted for white. Shortly after taking delivery of the car, Cheung came into contact with a certified Ferrari paint shop in Italy who were happy to respray the car in a shade of light blue from Aston Martin‘s paint catalog. Cheung added his own flair to the paint by making it matte.
Eager to have his LaFerrari Aperta perfectly match the coupe, Cheung did the same thing and now owns a pair of matte baby blue Ferraris. While you could excuse the car enthusiast for keeping the duo locked away in a garage, he frequently drives his cars around California and recently headed to the Thermal racetrack with none other than racing driver Rhys Millen.
Millen, best known for his racing success at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, was handed the keys to both cars and told to drift them. The video below chronicles the behind-the-scenes action in shooting a high-octane, Back to the Future-inspired video of Millen and the two cars. When the full video drops, we’ll be sure to share it.
