Create A Custom Cadillac XT6 Before Signing On The Dotted Line

Cadillac has launched the online configurator for its new three-row crossover, the XT6.

The Cadillac XT6 was unveiled earlier this year at the Detroit Auto and slots between the XT5 and Escalade in the car manufacturer’s line-up.

Log on to the configuration tool and you’ll initially be able to select your desired color. All paint options, excluding the standard Radiant Silver Metallic, demand a price premium of $625 or $1225, as with the Red Horizon Tintcoat we selected. As for the interior, there are four different color options available.

A series of packages can be optioned for the new XT6. These include the $4,900 Premium Package which includes items such as a microfiber sueded headliner, front and rear premium carpeted floor mats, chassis damping control, performance suspension, and more. There is also the $2,350 Enhanced Visibility and Technology Package, the $1,300 Driver Assist Package, the Floor Liner Package (prices not listed), the $280 Interior Protection Package, and the $750 Comfort And Air Quality Package.

There are five different wheel options available, the most expensive of which are the 20-inch Midnight Grey alloys which add $2,295 to the total price. Some of the key interior extras include front bucket seats, a Bose Performance Series 14-speaker audio system, rear seat infotainment system, Head-Up Display, and sport pedal covers.

The Cadillac XT6 is sold exclusively with a 3.6-liter V6 engine producing 310 hp and 271 lb-ft (373 Nm) of torque. Power is sent through a nine-speed automatic transmission to the front wheels but all-wheel drive is available on select models. Prices for the XT6 start at $53,690.

God damn that has to be the blandest SUV design I’ve seen. Where is the imagination?

    • ErnieB

They lost it so they tried to copy the XC90 but got drunk before completing the design and lost all interest..

  • ErnieB

Errr… Volvo called and they want their side profile back..

  • ErnieB I customized my XT6 and came up with this..hmm not sure .. I like black.

  • JT L

So fully loaded the xt6 can almost $80,000? Why would anyone pay that much money for this thing? All the key competirors such as the gle, x5, aviator, q7, xc90 are all better vehicles. Absurd.

  • BlackPegasus

This has to be the most derivative looking vehicle to come out of GM in a long time. Absolutely awful 😒

    • Nordschleife

Right like bland like GMC Envoy/Trailblazer like derivative blandness.

  • Ruel Lewis

I’m suddenly very concerned with how the new Escalade will look…

    • Jay

Prepare yourselves for the biggest grille you will ever see.

      • :/ Yurr

        Lexus got that reward lol.

  • Rasta_Farian

    As a used vehicle? Mayyyybe…

  • DetrinKD

The fact that it shares its interior with the XT5… smh.

  • Merc1

This is a lazy, utter failure of a vehicle.

  • Thunderbolt

The $31,550 Hyundai palisade will obliterate this Caddy.

    • Robert

Agree 100%. It’s a shame what Cadillac has become. I seriously think someone would need to have their head checked if they chose this over its direct competition.

    • Merc1

      As will the Lincoln Aviator.

    • Dennis Scipio

why compare a non luxury vehicle with one that isn’t?

  • john1168

    What a disappointment…

    • paulgdeaton

I hope nobody ever claimed it was going to be good-looking…

  • botornot387

Not a bad looking car, especially next to the XT5 which is hideous, however, the pricing is optimistic at best. this should be priced around its main rivals, the infiniti and acura considering there is little to distinguish the guts from a traverse and the vehicle is basically a haldex fwd model. The engine is OLD GM. This will need incentives to sell. And who would ever drive this over a BMW, Merc, Audi, insert any name at the 80K price point????

  • Nordschleife

I wonder if this is was really johan de Nysschen vision? I know he had to have a hand in this.

  • There’s nothing bad on this car, can’t figure out why, but I don’t like it. The front and the back are fine, but don’t belong together… Cadillac design was getting better and better, now it’s just bad evolution.

  • Salih Ahzem

Let’s not forget what Caddy introduces with this car also; that model nomenclature which is supposedly based on engine torque… XT6 400, I mean which “400” ?!
