Shocking video has surfaced online showing a Ford Ranger causing mayhem on the streets of Los Angeles and slamming into a parked SUV.

Fox 11 reports that the following incident occurred on Sunday afternoon in Huntington Park as 75-year-old Jose Landazure was behind the wheel of the pickup truck.

Footage captured from the scene shows the elderly driver burning rubber and reversing up the road immediately after making contact with a parked Ford Escape. The man reverses aggressively through the intersection, flies over a curb and comes to a stop in a nearby parking lot. Witnesses can be seen screaming and with their phones out filming the carnage.

Just seconds after coming to a stop, the Ranger aggressively accelerates out of the parking lot, powerslides through the same intersection and slams, once again, into the white Ford Escape on the side of the road. The pickup’s engine can be heard revving as onlookers try to stand behind lamp posts in order to stay safe in case the man suddenly accelerated down the road once again.

Speaking with Fox 11, Jonathan Hernandez, whose father-in-law owns the white Ford Escape, described the terrifying series of events.

“Here he comes back around again… Nearly hitting us again as he came again… Swung around and went into some oncoming traffic and just plowed right into my father-in-law’s car and that’s where he finally stopped,” he said.

After the elderly man came to a stop in the Ranger after making contact with the white SUV for the second time, a nearby man actually punched him through the open driver’s-side window. A security guard soon came to the scene and removed the keys from the ignition before police and paramedics arrived.

Authorities have ruled out alcohol as a factor and are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash. The Ranger driver has yet to be cited.
