2020 Buick Enclave Gains Style And Tech Updates, New ST Package

Buick’s flagship SUV, the Enclave, has received multiple styling and tech updates for the 2020 model year, highlighted by the presence of a new Sport Touring package.

The new ST package features a unique Sport grille with body-color surround, plus 20-inch alloy wheels and is available on the Enclave Essence Trim level.

Meanwhile, power is drawn from a 3.6-liter V6 gasoline engine, producing 310 HP (314 PS) and 266 lb-ft (360 Nm) of torque. The price? At least $41,195.

As for convenience features, the 7-seat SUV now comes with Buick’s next-gen infotainment system, packing a new 8-inch touchscreen display as standard on all trim levels – it also has available connected navigation, which requires a paid plan or trial. Another big novelty are the available massaging seats, offering a more premium feel.

“Buyers are choosing the Buick Enclave because it is everything they want in a premium crossover with its distinct styling, quality and driving dynamics,” said Buick and GMC marketing VP, Phil Brook. “For the 2020 model year, we’re upping the comfort with available massaging seats, bringing in a new and different look for customers with Sport Touring and enhancing our in-vehicle technology to provide more of what these customers want.”

Meanwhile, the Enclave Avenier version now has a sleeker appearance thanks to a lower panel that matches the rest of the exterior. Rounding out the updates are three new body colors in Champagne Gold Metallic, Rich Garnet Metallic (Avenir only) and Dark Moon Blue Metallic.

U.S. buyers will have to wait until later this summer for the 2020 Enclave to arrive in dealerships nationwide.

Anyone having ad problems? Particularly the ones between the article and the comment area? When I scroll toward the comments, they expand endlessly. I have to grab the scroll bar and force it all the way down (then scroll back up to comment). It’s rather inconvenient.

Yes, had to scroll endlessly as well

I hope it’s something that gets corrected, not a new “feature” of the site.

    • Six_Tymes

same. I think its intentional. maybe they don’t like seeing us (posters) battle in many discussions, they think it makes the site look bad to new visitors, that’s my guess. that, and now they can make more ad revenue.

The new Sport trim looks excellent. That red brings a bit of a Mazda-look to the vehicle.

    is it made in China?

  • MayTheBestCarWin05

This sport trim is an improvement no doubt. Breathes some life into this safe design.

One nit to pick….this thing needs bigger wheels and less sidewall. If there was a trim that could justify a 22″ option from the factory…this is the one. Why GM refuses to offer that is beyond me.

  • YOU CAN SEE THE RADIATOR THROUGH THE GRILLE. MAYBE IT’S COST CUTTING.

    • Mr_Fanta_Pants

Take a look at any BMW grille and you’ll clearly see unpainted cross supports. Same same.

  • Rocket

Nice improvement. But unless you need the extra room, there’s little reason to choose this over the new Korean entries. Sure beats the Traverse though.

  • Nordschleife

The suffix ST does not go on a near luxury brand whose top line is called Avenir. Buick you’re #%*^#= up.
