A prototype of the upcoming Lynk & Co 05 Coupe SUV has been spied while out-and-about testing in Europe.

We caught our first glimpse of the new 05 earlier this year. At the time, it was thought it could premiere at April’s Shanghai Motor Show, but that clearly didn’t happen. This particular tester remains clad in camouflage, but we can see some new details which were previously hidden.

Lynk & Co has stripped away some of the camo across the rear fascia, providing us with a good look at the vehicle’s LED taillights. It appears as though the lower portion remain hidden from view but the parts which we can see do look quite a bit different than the ones found on other Lynk & Co models such as the 01, 02, and 03.

The front is very familiar as a Lynk & Co model. There are split headlights, a wide and slim grille and other large intakes. This prototype also features some intriguing sensors on the wheels.

While it gets its own name, the 05 isn’t an all-new vehicle but simply the the Coupe SUV version of the 01, Lynk & Co’s very first production model.

A number of different variants will be produced. One of these will feature a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder pumping out 187 HP, paired to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and an all-wheel drive system. The Chinese company is also expected to offer the 05 in plug-in hybrid guise with a 178 HP 1.5-liter three-cylinder coupled to an 81 HP electric motor that allows for an all-electric driving range of 51 km (31 miles).
