Alpina has been turning Bimmers into masterpieces for more than 50 years. During this time, they have gathered the experience to customize just about everything, making a very solid name for themselves in the BMW tuning business.

Usually, their projects have very subtle visual mods that are, nonetheless, instantly noticeable to enthusiasts. However, this B7 stands out thanks to a shade called Mint Green. The color would better suit something more exotic, and not the firm’s flagship sedan that goes against the likes of the Audi A8 and Mercedes-Benz S-Class. It’s nonetheless to see something that breaks the norm, even if it’s not to everyone’s liking.

The lollipop look is, in fact, the most striking feature of this pre-facelifted 7-Series. Elsewhere, the executive saloon sports Alpina’s signature multi-spoke alloy wheels and a bunch of other mods here and there. Unfortunately, neither Alpina nor BMW of New York, who have shared this minty B7 on social media, have released any images of the cabin, but they did say that it has white Merino leather on pretty much every touchable surface.

As BMW has said time and time again that it won’t make an M7, the Alpina B7 is the closest thing someone can get to it as its 4.4-liter, twin-turbo V8 produces a massive 600 horsepower (608 PS / 448 kW) and 590 pound-feet (800 Nm) of torque. That output is channeled to the xDrive, all-wheel drive system through an eight-speed automatic transmission, so the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint takes only 3.6 seconds, and top speed is an impressive 205 mph (330 km/h).
