Prices for desirable Japanese sports cars from the late 1990s and early 2000s have been on the rise in recent years and the DC2-generation Integra Type R has proved to be one of the standout performers. This particular example is shaping up to be no different as at the time of writing, it has attracted a high bid of $27,000 with one day still left to run in the auction.

According to the listing, the front-wheel drive sports car was repainted in its factory shade of Championship White in February 2012 and is free of any obvious visual damage. The car retains its original factory 15-inch white alloy wheels and sits on Bridgestone Potenza RE040 tires. Inside, there are black cloth seats, an aftermarket stereo head unit, and a Mono steering wheel with red contrast stitching and black leather.

Making the car all the more desirable is that it is number 30 of just 320 units which were imported into the United States in 1997. It has a total of 73,500 miles (118,286 km) on the clock.

The original Acura Integra Type R is universally loved for its high-revving B18C5 four-cylinder VTEC engine pumping out 195 hp at 8000 rpm when near. This engine is mated to a five-speed manual transmission powering the front wheels. Earlier this month, the car underwent a comprehensive service which included the fitment of a new timing belt, water pump, tensioner, and valve cover gaskets.
