The Mustang High Performance will be launched in Australia in February 2020 with a more powerful engine tuned by Ford Performance and a few other updates.

By using a larger 63 mm (2.5 in) twin-scroll turbocharger from the Focus RS, the 2.3-liter mill delivers 316 HP (321 PS) and 448 Nm (330 lb-ft) of torque, a 12 kW (16 PS / 16 hp) and 7 Nm (5 lb-ft) of torque improvement.

The ‘Stang also benefits from shorter gear ratios from the 2019MY in the six-speed manual and 10-speed automatic transmissions. All versions of the 2020 Mustang High Performance get thicker front and rear stabilizer bars, updated steering, Brembo brakes, a limited-slip rear differential, variable sports exhaust system and 19-inch wheels shod in Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires.

Available in Fastback and Convertible body styles, the model sports a new grille, more aggressive front splitter taken from the Mustang GT, Magnetic side mirror caps and bonnet spears and special badging. The color palette has been enhanced by the addition of the Twister Orange, Grabber Lime, Iconic Silver and Rapid Red.

Inside, Ford has added a serialized dash plaque and spun aluminum instrument panel with turbo boost and oil pressure gauges. Standard gear includes leather upholstery, SYNC3 infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, reversing camera, sat-nav and others, whereas the Recaro sports seats and a customizable, 12.4-inch digital instrument cluster are optional.

During the first 4 years or 60,000 km (37,282 miles), customers will be able to service their 2020 Mustang High Performance for a maximum recommended price of AUD $299 (USD $206). The latest variant of the four-pot Mustang will be offered with a 5-year/unlimited mileage factory warranty, with Ford Service Benefits that include the Loan Car Program, map updates and Motoring Club Membership.
