The 2020 Mercedes CLA will arrive at U.S. dealerships later this year and now the company has revealed pricing will start at $36,650.

Costing $3,550 more than its predecessor, the 2020 CLA 250 is larger and more luxurious than the outgoing model and boasts additional standard equipment. Highlights include LED lighting units, a panorama glass roof and 18-inch alloy wheels.

Moving into the cabin, drivers will sit behind a leather-wrapped steering wheel and find themselves looking at a 7-inch digital instrument cluster. The model also has sport seats, a dual-zone automatic climate control system, keyless start and a 7-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility.

An assortment of options will be available including 10.25-inch displays, heated / ventilated front seats and a Burmester surround sound system. Customers can also order ambient interior lighting, a wireless smartphone charger and a heated steering wheel. There will also be AMG Line and AMG Night packages as well as a head-up display.

Power is provided by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 221 hp (165 kW / 224 PS) and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) of torque. It is connected to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission which sends power to the front wheels. In terms of performance, the CLA can accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 6.3 seconds before hitting a limited top speed of 130 mph (209 km/h).

Customers can also opt for the CLA 250 4MATIC which features all-wheel drive. It starts at $38,650 which makes it $2,000 more expensive than the standard model.

Buyers looking for more performance can wait for the CLA 35 and CLA 45. Both models are slated to arrive in the United States before the end of the year.
