At the 2019 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, Bugatti wowed not only attendees, but the entire automotive community too by unveiling the Centodieci (Italian for 110).
We expected it wouldn’t be long before rendering artists had their way with it, and we were right, with Aksyonov Nikita giving it a shot at imagining it with its roof chopped off. And it does make for an appealing project, even if it probably has zero chances of ever making it into the real world.
Apart from making it a roadster, the Centodieci has also been rendered in blue and black instead of the white featured by the actual car.
Made as a tribute to the EB110, which debuted in 1991 as a celebration of Ettore Bugatti’s 110th birthday, and forming part of the company’s expansion plan, the Centodieci is a piece of art on wheels. It costs a cool $8.9 million (€8 million), but even if you can afford it, you’re out of luck, as all 10 units were sold out even before its official unveiling.
Staggering looks aside, the Centodieci is more powerful than the Chiron and Divo. The 8.0-liter, quad turbocharged W16 has been tuned to produce 1,600 PS (1,578 / 1,176 kW) at 7,000 rpm, 100 PS (99 hp / 74 kW) more than the other two Bugattis. It’s also 20 kg (44 lbs) lighter than its Chiron and does the 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph), 0-200 km/h (0-124 mph) and 0-300 km/h (0-186 mph) in 2.4, 6.1 and 13.1 seconds, respectively. Bugatti is, right now, not interested in top speed runs, so v-max has been electronically limited at 380 km/h (236 mph). We’re pretty sure it can go much faster than that, but nearly 240 mph is good enough as it is anyway.
