Elon Musk jumped on Twitter earlier this week and proceeded to publish numerous bee-related tweets. According to some, these tweets could have some interesting meaning behind them.

The chief executive of Tesla is known for his fondness of Twitter and some people online believe Musk is cryptically telling the world that the car manufacturer’s next vehicle will be dubbed the Model B.

Over the weekend, Musk first tweeted an image of the Teletubbies with a caption reading “Teletub” and then an emoji of a bee. Shortly afterwards, he posted an image of Queen Elizabeth II with the caption “Queen” and a bee emoji. He also published an image showing the difference between “a British Bee” and “A US Bee.”

If these tweets had been made by any other auto executive, the world would be left wondering what was going on, but this isn’t particularly odd behavior when it comes to Musk. After all, he once called a diver “pedo guy” on Twitter and was promptly hit with a lawsuit – a much more serious incident…

Twitter is full of speculation about what Musk’s tweets refer to with many suggesting the upcoming Tesla pickup could be dubbed the Tesla Model B. It’s unclear how this would fit into the company’s current ‘S3XY’ range of models but it could result in an acronym such as ‘B S3XY’ or similar.

The Tesla pickup is the most high-profile new Tesla model in the works and in late July, Musk revealed that it will premiere in prototype guise in two to three months. The vehicle will feature a design drastically different than any other current Tesla and according to Musk, cost less than $50,000 and handle like a Porsche 911. It is expected that the truck will offer a range of between 400-500 miles (645 km to 800 km) and towing capacity of up to 300,000 lbs (136,077 kg).
