A Volvo FL6 truck may sell for as much as $2 million later this month because it is adorned with paintings from world-famous artist Banksy.

The truck will be being auctioned off by Bonhams during its Goodwood Revival auction on September 14. It is aptly dubbed Turbo Zone Truck (Laugh Now but One Day We’ll Be in Charge) in reference to the text on one of its sides. Banksy painted the truck’s exterior back in 2000 in his famous graffiti style and it is said to be his largest single art piece. It is a 1998 model that was acquired from Banksy himself two year later, and this will be the first time it is auctioned off.

“Taking the vehicle of the laborer, the workman, and the blue-collar employee as his blank canvas, the present motorcar and work of art revels in Banksy’s raw and unfiltered wit; a masterclass of the artist’s satirical humor and impressive dexterity with spray paint,” Bonhams states about the vehicle.

Banksy previously painted a mail delivery van in 2006 that was ultimately sold for $263,874 at a 2016 auction, but that art piece was nowhere near as large as this one – nor as intricate. The revered contemporary artist has had many of his paintings sell for over $500,000 apiece, including one that fetched $1.7 million at an auction in 2008.

Bonhams notes that many of the world’s greatest artists have used vehicles as their canvas in the past such as Andy Warhol with the BMW M1 Art Car from four decades ago.
