What do you get when you give a Mercedes-AMG E 63 S over 800 hp, switch the all-wheel drive system into rear-wheel drive mode, and push the right pedal all the way? A super sedan that can shed through its rear tires in mere seconds, that’s what.

The following E 63 S was recently filmed up close by Gumbal on YouTube during the Burnout Madness Competition held during the recent Bimmerworld 2019 event. Mods implemented to raise the output include an Akrapovic Evolution exhaust system, ceramic coated downpipes, 200-cell sports cats and an ECU remap from Renntech.

To ensure that the new E 63 S was as fast, controllable, and usable as possible, Mercedes-AMG developed a high-tech all-wheel drive system. AMG models have a history of shredding tires with incredible ease and the presence of an all-wheel drive system could have prevented the E 63 S from ever losing traction. That’s not the case, however, as the all-wheel drive system can be switched into a rear-wheel drive only mode for those keen to get the rear tires to spin.

During the following burnout competition, it only took the sedan a touch over 20 seconds to shed through its rear tires and leave big chunks of smoking rubber on the ground. Yep, that was fast – but with 800 HP, it’s no surprise either.
